Yumbox by Eat Well U.K. 

Recently I’ve been wanting to portion my lunches better and I’ve wanted a lunchbox for so long. As a child I had a care bear lunchbox with stickers all over it and nothing compared to it. For years I’ve looked for something to fall in love with and that’s when I found Yumbox by eat well uk. 

What drew me to the lunch box was the portioned sections. Then the cute graphic design and of course the vibrant colours. They have so many beautiful colours and there’s also different compartments you can purchase separately to change the inside. You can also get a child’s version.

So when I found out it was spill proof, yes you did read that right, spill proof!! I had to test that theory out. So I made Slimming World tiramisu which can be quite runny and I added in frozen fruit. We all know what happens when defrosting fruit, it fills with water. I can confirm, in a bag traveling in a car, it did not spill! I was shocked. The inside has a rubber that seals the lunchbox closed. 

I then tried something a little cuter with a cookie cutter for my cucumber, which fit perfectly in the circle. I’ve also used this section for sauces and peanut butter. So this was my little trip to the beach lunch box!

It was so nice just to sit and the beach with a no fuss lunch box and enjoy it. The lid stays attached so you don’t need to worry about setting it down and it is handy to put crisps into. I made the mistake of putting beetroot in and it did stain my lid, but that’s ok, it shows it’s well loved, but yes certain foods will stain the rubber lid. No one sees it but you anyway!

Of course I had to take a photo with the tower, isn’t that the touristy thing to do; even though I live here now hehe! In the warm weather I’m always asked if I’m here on holiday; sometimes I’m cheeky and say yes, other times I say we live here. 

Getting back to the box, it is a great lunchbox, it holds soup to with no spillage. It is hard plastic, you can change the inside with another design and it is a beautiful looking box. It would be suitable for someone who uses a lunchbox often or for trips to the beach with the kids. 

The lunch I have is the Yumbox Panino and the price is £24.95 and you can purchase it on the website. It is dearer than your average lunch box but it is an investment, it will be something that will last and you won’t need a replacement every few months. It is dishwater safe, BPA free and I just think it’s brilliant. Whether I’m indoor or outdoor I use this a lot and if you are in the same slimming world group you’ll know I have my evening meal in it every week ☺️. 

I do think this is a great tool to learn portion control. You get to add different bits to have a variety too. Definitely a plus for me.  The kids also use it when they have a school trip.

I found it hard to find any negatives about the Yumbox and the only thing is the staining from beetroot. 

The customer service was impeccable and delivery was fast.

Summer is coming and my Wingz are out! (Wingz Fashion Review)


Having lost 9st (128lbs) I am quite conscious about my arms and loose skin. I know the world is in a body positive movement right now but I haven’t caught up with this yet and I am conscious about my arms, so while someday I hope to love every inch of my body, I don’t! So having Wingz in my life has helped and changed how I view myself. Also with it getting warmer I don’t have to cover up in cardigans, hoodies or jumpers like I have before.

The material is so light weight, breathable and comfortable; while being opaque. Easy to put on and wear under tops and dresses. If you watch my YouTube video, you will see how easy it is to get on, even with my clumsy self 😂

In the photo I am wearing a stringy top with a vest over but you’d never know I was wearing Wingz. They’re discret and go with everything so far. I even tried them with a sports top (in video) and although it didn’t cover I had a lot of suggestions about pinning it to my top and that would make it perfect for it too.

Now I am a size 16 but I had to order a size 18-22 in the Wingz because my arms are big and have a lot of loose skin. As I had to order a bigger size (using the sizing chart) because the other size is 12-16 and I didn’t think that would fit. With being a much bigger side they slip of my shoulders, I maybe should have ordered a smaller size anyway because this, it can be a problem. It’s just because I’ve lost lots of weight from my shoulders but my arms are hanging on for dear life 😂

Another fab day guys, Feeling good! 


Alpro go on (1.5 syns) & orange to start the day.

Zoats (courgette oats) for breakfast. Cooked blueberries 2 syns for 100g & 2.5 syns for cocoa powder.

Spinach, Kale, Mango and kiwi smoothie for a snack. 2.5 syns for smoothie mix and 1 cup of almond milk and filled the rest with water and ice. 

Lunch was mince, GF pasta, tomatoes and spinach.

Dinner was Salmon, rice, courgette, pak choi & butternut squash chips.

Dessert was skinny cow lolly for 6 syns.

Ending the day on 14.5 syns!

Treat yourself for the weight you’ve lost. (Motivacelet Review)

I‘m so excited to share with you my new bracelet from Motivacelet. The bracelet is different from other bracelets. This one counts your weight loss, with different charms indicating the stones, 1/2 stones and lbs. This bracelet can hold 3 stones with all the charms. If you are like me with more than 3 stone to lose, I put the large stones on, then I use the 1/2 stone and lb charms for the rest.

For example; I’ve lost 8st 12lbs. I would put 8 large stones on, then 6 lb charms, then 1/2 st charm then 5 more lb charm. (Pictured below).

I think this is amazing way to track and see it visually. I am a visual person. When I reach for food, something I shouldn’t, I see my bracelet and put it back.

For me I can’t afford to celebrate each milestone, so this is an affordable way to treat yourself. Not only do they have the charms shown above, they have love heart charms that you can use to celebrate the stones too. For me these are special and I want one for when I hit 10 stone, it will look amazing ❤️

If you've been following me a while you know I am a photographer and I also create #cinemagraph. I love my @motivacelet and I wanted to do something a little different in showing you it. I currently have 8 large beads which represents 1 stone = 8st. The half side bead represents 1/2 st mark & the smaller beads I have 12, 1 for each 1lb. So the 12 small beads & next size bead is the 1/2 stone making it 13lbs. So I have lost 8st 13lbs. I hope I explained that ok. Such a great visual aid and I'm itching for another 1lb off!! 5 tips on how to start losing weight

Today I want to share with you my 5 instant weight loss tips to kick start your journey. So let’s get started.

1. Drink plenty of water. There are apps you can download where you input your weight to see how much you should drink and that helps a lot. The app I use is called Plant Nanny. To your water you can add fruit like blueberries, blackberries, strawberries to make it more interesting and refreshing. I also love adding cucumber 💚

2. Prepare you meals in advance. Doing meal prep really helps when you’re busy, tired or just don’t have the time. This will help with unnecessary snacking or making a bad choice at lunch or dinner. I also prepare my snacks, so I will always have fruit ready, eggs cooked in the fridge and carrot sticks at hand with some sort of dip.

3. Cut down on the fizzy drinks. It doesn’t matter if it is a diet drink & tastes yummy 😋 this will lead to bloating and it’s full of chemicals. Yes I still have the odd drink but I have cut it right back.

4. Don’t drink your calories. So what I mean is when you’re losing weight and drink your calories it will stunt your losses. So for now, stay away from smoothies, especially the ones premade in the shops. When you blend a fruit it changes the properties in it and your body digests it different, it also releases lots of sugar. It will not fill you up and you will want to snack again, which will lead to eating an excess of calories.

5. Eat slowly. If you chew your food 10-15 times then it makes it easier on your gut to digest and pass through. It also takes 20mins for your belly to know you’ve eaten enough, so by eating slower you will not get that stuffed feeling and you’ll feel satisfied. If you have food left over just put it in the fridge for later or tomorrow’s lunch. Enjoy the flavours of the food and when you focus on your food you’ll not think about what can I eat next. A lesson I learnt because I was always a quick eater and went on thinking mmm what’s next? Try it and you’ll see a difference. If you do, pop back and leave me a comment to let me know.

Slimming World LOW SYN chocolate pancakes

You need:

  • Blender
  • Frying pan

Ingredients 

  • 40g Oats  (hexB)
  • 2 Eggs (protein)
  • 1 cap full of Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 Mullerlight Vanilla (free) or 100mls of milk (syn accordingly) or 100g quark (protein)
  • 1 tsp Tesco’s coco powder (1 syn)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder 

Topping choices

  • 1tbsp (4 syns) Nutella
  • Sweet Freedom Syrup (1/2 syn per level tsp)
  • Quark (protein & free)
  • Banana 
  • Berries

Put the oats in a blender and blend into a fine powder. Then add the eggs and extract, then blend together. Once combined add the muller light and Coco powder, then blitz all together.

Now spoon the mixture into a greased hot frying pan. Keep it to a low heat and once the bubbles start to surface, then flip over. 

Once ready you can choose the toppings, here I went with quark, berries, banana & Sweet Freedom Syrup. 

This mixture will make 4/5 pancakes.

You don’t need sweetener for this recipe but if you do add it, remember it is 1/2 syn per level tablespoon with the new Slimming World guidelines. 

If you want to syn your Oats instead of using your heathy extra b you can, just make sure to check the syn values in your book or the slimming world app/website.

Pure Chimp Matcha Green Tea Review

was sent some Pure Chimp Matcha Green Tea to try and I do love my green tea, so of course this would be a winner already in my eyes.

Match Green Tea is classed as a superfood and it has lots of benefits, for example:

  • High in Antioxidants
  • Loaded with Catechin, EGCg
  • Boosts Memory and Concentration
  • Increases Energy Levels and Endurance
  • Burns Calories
  • Detoxifies the Body
  • Fortifies the Immune System
  • Helps clear your head

So the health benefits seem great don’t they? With using green tea I do believe in some of these benefits. One cup keeps my energy levels stable without the dips and peaks of normal caffeinated drinks. I have one every morning to kick start my metabolism, I can see the difference the weeks were I barely drink it to weeks when I have it every day. I am less bloated and it helps with my water intake.

To make a drink you mix 1/2 a level teaspoon with hot water. Green tea can be an acquired taste, so if it is too strong this use 1/4 teaspoon or mix in some lemon, honey or maple syrup for that added sweetness.

If you don’t like to drink green tea, I love adding 1/2 teaspoon of the tea to my porridge, you do not taste it once you add milk, fruit and a little syrup. You get all the benefits without having to drink it. It also make your breakfast a beautiful colour.

The product mixes well in drinks and foods. Only thing if you are having a hot green tea, keep a spoon close by as if you leave it to long to drink, it will collate at the bottom of the mug. So by giving it the occasionally stir, it is perfect. Just the same as having to do it with a hot chocolate.

After I had my first cup I did feel full of energy, I did make mine a little stronger that what it says on the packet, as I love green tea and thought I could handle it. I did feel like I had a bit of a buzz, excitement really and my workout kicked butt that day. I had no come down at all.

1/2 of a teaspoon is equivalent to 10 cups of green tea.

When you buy a matcha green tea from Pure Chimp they donate 5% to a charity. This is a big bonus as it is lovely when companies give back.

The products are suitable for vegans and are registered with the vegan society.

Pure Chimp also have a lemon and mint flavoured tea, I so want the mint tea as it is a firm favourite with me. If you go to Pure Chimps website you will see the teas come in jars and packets, they also sell a cute whisk, which is now on my wish list.

Let’s talk price

It isn’t cheap for a packet it is £4.95 and the jar is £11.95, initially it is a shock but it is a product that will last. You only need 1/2 teaspoon per drink, so it will last quite the while and when you average out what you would be paying for normal green tea which is usually around £3 for 20 teabags, it puts it into  perspective.

Final Thoughts 

I would recommend this product. I have enjoyed drinking it and I shall be purchasing more. Defiantly can’t wait to get my hands on the Mint tea. Stick to the 1/2 teaspoon per mug, don’t do what I did or you’ll be giving yourself a type of pre workout.

Woman of the Year 2016

Hey guys!

So let’s jump right in. Around 1.5 months ago I was award Woman of the Year 2016 this was an amazing achievement, to think my group found me in any way inspirational is a real honour.

I never thought I would inspire anyone on my journey but if I do I’m so happy! I am thankful for each person I’ve met at group and online. The support when you need it is so fantastic! 

Being given such an award boosted my confidence a little. I have such self doubt and my confidence is still low but it is higher than it has ever been before and I hope with time it will grow more. I just want to look at my achievements and see I have done good. Another reason I am posting about WOTY is to appreciate it and realise that I am doing ok. I just want to point out I’m not being cocky, it is ok to accept you’ve done good and be proud. 

So my advice is be proud of your achievements no matter what they are. Life is hard, this journey is challenging and progress is progress. 

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart ❤️
